 “Steppin Out Of My Skin” is a teaching parable that takes place in Cincinnati, OH, April of 2001—a hotbed of racially charged incidences. The story challenges readers to acknowledge the ingrained prejudices that lie deep within our hearts and minds and to change the behavior that results from flawed thinking. We need to move beyond "Can we all just get along?" in order to see true racial harmony in our country. It will take healing, forgiveness and building trusting relationships.
